6th Annual Midwest Medical Fraud Symposium

Dear friends and colleagues,

As everyone is aware, the US is presently in the throes of an escalating public health crisis involving the COVID-19 Coronavirus. Indiana and other Midwest states have only very recently been caught up in the fray with their own outbreaks of this aggressive contagion and are taking measures to curtail its progression. One of the primary measures being undertaken by both governmental and private entities is the limitation or elimination of many public gatherings in an effort to limit the socialized spread of the illness. Many other industry events have already been cancelled or likely will be cancelled in the near future.

In that spirit, the Symposium Committee and the IN Medicaid Fraud Control Unit have elected to do our part in this public mitigation effort by cancelling this year’s Midwest Medical Fraud Symposium. While it is very disappointing to have to come to this conclusion after several months of detailed planning, we believe it is the right decision for the greater good.

We at NSPII and the IN MFCU ask for your understanding and support in this decision and want to assure you that we are very much looking forward to next year’s event. We are in the process of scheduling our 2021 event with the IN Government Center (shooting for 6/10/21) and we will keep everyone apprised once we firm the date up.

In the meantime, we thank all of you for your ongoing support of the Symposium and our continued efforts to bring you current, effective and economical anti-fraud training. We wish you all a very healthy and safe 2020 and we look forward to seeing you at the Midwest Medical Fraud Symposium next year!!
