The Illinois Chapter will sponsor a FREE special session of Reid's Telephone Interviewing Techniques on December 10, 2015 at J.C. Restoration, 3200 Squibb Ave., Rolling Meadows, IL from 8:30 a.m. - noon.  Coffee and refreshments will be from 8:00-8:30 a.m.  This three (3) hour course is the special product of a partnership between John E. Reid & Associates, Inc. and Daniel Marsano, a well-known industry expert from Prudential’s Special Investigation Unit in Detroit, Michigan. The course was specifically designed for insurance companies, financial institutions, credit card companies and law enforcement agents who rely extensively on telephone interviews to conduct their investigations. As the course will show, there are a number of different skills required to conduct telephone interviews versus a face-to-face dialogue.

•    The limitations, benefits and goals of a telephone interview

•    Establishing rapport

•    Personality traits of a successful interviewer

•    Truthful vs. deceptive behavior

•    Voice characteristics

•    Psychological principles of responses

•    Evaluating memory, segments of an account and pronoun use
